| The Nova Formulate software prompts the operator through the Standard Operating Procedures for weighing out ingredients to make a recipe or formulation and record the transactions for future analysis or reporting. The system can run on a stand-alone PC, but increasingly is being installed on the users IT network which allows access to the system by any authorised user on any workstation on that network. The database will be located on the users server. Dispensary Stations can then be added to the network where appropriate. | ![]() |
| A
powerful reporting capability enables you to create reports to suit your own special
requirements from the central database.Data can be imported and exported from other
sources such as Oracle databases.
At the Dispensary Station,
the operator is take through the instructions for the weighing-out of ingredients, with
the software checking that the ingredients are added within the tolerances defined in the
formulation.
A large bar-graph is displayed on the screen which changes colour when the target weight is being approached and turns green when the weight is within the required tolerance. |

| Once the weighment is accepted, a bar-code label can be produced to
be attached to the container so that the information of its contents can be identified
later in the process. The Dispensary Station allows several scales to be connected to a
single station and a bar-code reader can be used to verify that the correct ingredient is
being used.
An electronic batch record
is created and stored on the central database. Lot traceability is also provided.
The Nova Formulate
software has been used in applications which have been validated by FDA.
